Workshops 2010

Makeup and Glow now specialize in workshops (8 people per class max) for existing artists and students. These will be run by experienced artists who can offer invaluable information, tips and techniques to those wishing to have a better insight into the industry.

All courses require a $50 deposit to secure your spot and is non-refundable if less than 7 days notice is given to enable us to offer your place to another student. Our courses book out almost immediately!

Hair Course by Amber Moratti

Amber has been an in demand hairstylist for 17years and will teach the essentials and basics to hair styling. Perfect for makeup artists wishing to extend their skills to offer hair to clients. Up-Styles & General Hair Styling by Amber Moratti

So you have learnt the very basics and now know how to prep your clients hair, but you are unsure of how to achieve the look!

In the first half of this workshop you will be shown some ‘tricks of the trade” & ‘easy to achieve’ styling techniques. Including curling and waving, easy finger waves, buns, French rolling and how to combine these basics to create a modern Bridal/Formal look for you clients. We will also be playing with clip in hair extensions and hair padding.

In the afternoon session a model or a head block is required for you to use your products and equipment and experiment what you learnt from the morning.

Airbrush Course by Jenny Pulfer

Finally a one day affordable course is available in SPFX by a working film artist!

Workshop One covers all the basics of Casualty Simulation.

We begin with crying and sweating, we then send them into shock - from here we make them tired and emaciated with added bruising. Then we add scratches, slices, burns and make them bleed. We then make them beaten with swelling and possible fractures.

Through out the workshop there will be discussions on the different products which can be used for each facet and their many other different uses.

By the completion of the workshop you will have the basic knowledge to confidently perform these simulations yourself and your friend will look as though they have been held captive and violently tortured.
